Champions League update

With the quarter finals coming to a close, there is now 4 teams left to compete for the Worlds title. PSG advances vs Barcelona, Dortmund agaisnt Athletco Madrid, Bayern vs Arasenl, and finally Real Madrid vs Manchester City. With Manchester City had being gavorited to win, Real Madrid now takes the throne for the current best team. Next weeks match ups will be Bayern vs Real Madrid and PSG vs Dortmund. Both of these games should be fantastic games. My predicted matchup will be Real Madrid vs PSG, with Madrid taking down PSG in the finals. These final and up-coming weeks of soccer is something to be excited about.

El Classico

Today, the famous rivialy that all wants to see happened today. Real Madrid played Barcelona on their home turf in Spain. The game which resulted 3-2 (Real Madrid) was a thriller all the way up to the 90th minute. The game opened with an early header in the 6' minute from Christenesen to put Barcelona up 1-0. Madrid quickly barried one in the back of the net in the 18' minute witth a spot kick from Vinny Jr. Scoring wouldnt continue all up until the 69' minute with a goal from Lopez. , then Vazquex evened the game in the 73' minute. The game was back and fourth until Jude Bellingham first timed a cross to win them the game in the 91'. The riveraly as expected, did not disappoint.

Sunday Upsets

With the title race between 3 teams, 2 of those 3 teams had unexpected losses today. Liverpool lost 0-1 to Crystal Palace, while Arsenal also lost 0-2 to Aston Villa. This is very crucial to the title race, as Manchester City now takes the lead to lift the trophy. In my opinion, I do not see a team in the remaining games to defeat Manchester City. There team is in top form and they are so focused on lifting the trophy, I do not see anything getting in the way of them winning the league.

Saturday in the Premier League

Image
Today, there was seven games in the Premier League, with the most thrilling ones being Manchester United vs. Bournemouth and Manchester City vs. Luton. Manchester United tied 2-2, where they were clear favorites in the matchup Bruno Fernandes scored 2 goals and was labled player of the match. Manchester City dominated Luton 5-1 in todays matchup. They made this a statement game, where they continue to strive for the tital yet again. With the league coming to a close, these last weeks of games arr crucial.

A Record Breaking Game

Image
The game of the week would have to be Chelsea vs. Manchester United. In a  showdown at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea engineered a remarkable turnaround to defeat Manchester United 4-3. Cole Palmer, formerly a devout United supporter but now a pivotal figure for Chelsea, achieved a stunning hat-trick, including two vital goals in injury time. Despite facing a 3-2 deficit, Chelsea demonstrated remarkable resolve, culminating in Palmer's historic winning goal in the 101st minute, setting a new record for the latest decisive strike in Premier League history. The match encapsulated a whirlwind of emotions, highlighting Chelsea's unwavering determination as they snatched victory from the brink of defeat in a display of sheer determination and skill.
